Very less probability...I would rather say it won't go that high...as per the current survey going on (http://www.biotechnologyforums.com/opini...-poll.html), even though the sample set is very small, still a general indication is that the lower quartile of marks is in 20-40 range, so there are very high chances of cut -off to be below 40 only. I would guess it to be around 34-36 (it's a dangerous guess given the small sample set of survey, but it is quite expected cut-off)..

What rank do you think marks of 45-50 will fetch given people have even received 90+ according to the survey?

Ranks are difficult to guess for a given marks range..it is pure ranking based system, so marks are simply sorted in the order of high to low (people with same marks often get the same rank). Total candidature of GATE BT will therefore decide the ranks

At the given range, GATE qualification is almost certain
