Can anyone please tell me that, how many candidates on an average appear in each attempt for CSIR-NET exam in life sciences

Should be around 30-35,000. This is on a higher end, considering the fact that number of people appearing for GATE BT/XL hardly cross 15000. But CSIR-NET enables teaching eligibility, so number of people trying for it would definitely be atleast twice of GATE.

P.S : It's an estimate. The thread is open to opinions by other members.
