fusion gene - priyansha sinha - 10-18-2016 Respected sir, I am a B tech Biotech student . while I was trying to learn the method to create fusion gene for a transgenic plant , I was unable to understand some points. The method was given like this..."A primer was designed to introduce a BamH1 site and to remove the translational stop codon at 3' end of cry1B gene sequence.such a step preserve the protease processing site in cry1B sequence. The cry1B gene was amplified and restricted with Nco1 and BamH1 and cloned in pBluescript KS+......" So, I am unable to get this (i) preservation of protease processing site , and (ii) pBluescript KS+ . kindly help me regarding these concepts and also, elaborate me the process of gene fusion. Thank you. |
