1. Pedigree (question-45)  (Possible Ans : "X- linked recessive inheritance or Y linked" and "Y-linked only") (Can give upto 2.66 marks)
2. Zero order rate kinetics (question- 49) (Possible Ans : "100" and "10000") (Can give upto 2 marks)
3. Cytokinesis inhibitor (question -18)  (Possible Ans : "Cytochalasin D" and "Colchicine" ) (Can give upto 1.33 marks)

These 3 questions have possibility of giving a student 6 marks which can be really crucial.

Each of the 2 answers in the above question is proving to be right, thus all the students who have answered any of the 2 possible answers in the above questions should be given the benefit of doubt.

What is views from all of you guys, should we challenge all the 3 questions ?
I think we should challenge the three questions. I personally haven't attempted the cytokinesis inhibitor question because of the confusion. Also, can all of you ask your friends or give an idea of the average marks they are getting with the present answer key?
Debasmita, We are holding a poll at the below link, please take part in the poll

I think this one is meant for challenge, can anyone justify this!!

Question Number :10 G-ve bacteria with saffraanin, G-ve have outer membrane with LPS,
Given answer :1 , but answer according to me is 2 as staining depends on peptidoglycan layer . and its thickness

other user:
Even I think it's option B
G-ve loses crystal violet because CV-iodine complex easily washes out during alcohol wash. Whereas, in G+ve, due to thick peptidoglycan layer, CV-iodine complex cannot escape.
After CV-IODINE complex has washed out of G-ve cell, its now colourless and can take up any dye. So it gets stained with saffranin.
I don't think LPS ha any role in trapping saffranin.

R: Gram -ve bacteria has LPS.

I am assuming that the question was regarding 'which of the two is more correct?'. On that ground, It should be B (Gram -ve bacteria have LPS) as it is due this factor that Saffranin can actually stain Gram -ve bacteria (Saffranin being a basic dye attaches well to the highly negative LPS).

How LPS is negatively charged? BCoz it is phosphorylated and it's the P group that confers the negative charge to LPS.

Edit:
Since it was Assertion and Reasoning, in my opinion, reason is correct.

When you read the below wiki link for : Specific techniques / Gram staining

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staining

The Gram negative bacteria has outer lps layer.
Thus the gram negative bacteria is able to hold the secondary stain (safranin stain).

Same has been said by few others in the below link as well:

Yes I think all these 4 questions should be challenged

Can anyone confirm if they are challenging a particular question since this is a lot of money involved?
