I am afraid your GATE result won't be useful for seeking admission in the colleges.
Please do appear for JNU CBEE, the applications are already open.

My AIR is 597 and Score is 466.
General category.
With these, what chances i have to get in IITs?
If i wont get in first list of merit, is there a possibility of getting in further iterations?
I have ICT's BPT course and BITS as well in my list.
( I have 2 years of work experience, working as a scientist in a Biopharmaceutical company. If that will be of any help)

First of all, you should apply in all IITs. This will ensure that one doesn't miss on a chance if the deciding committee sets a lenient cut off ignoring the previous tradition.
Considering the previous trends, you will definitely get a call from Guwahati. Could you give an idea of your percentile please? IIT Hyderabad is also a good option for you.
IIT Kanpur and Madras call people with percentile >=95.
If you are flexible in terms of Department, then attempting for Chemical Egg of IIT Delhi, Environment Sc of IIT Roorkee is also having good chances for you.
In addition, assuming you have a 90 above percentile, do apply for PhD program of NUS.
