In my personal view, Biometric term in itself means "Measures of Biological Paramters". So any smart card/ passport / password / bank account / aadhar card (Unique IDs) that claim to be Biometric cards/Passwords/and so on; actually signify the fact that their security measures involve coding/storing and verification of Biometric data (i.e Biological data of the user: viz his iris scan/finger prints/DNA fingerprint etc).
