MS v/s MTech

Hi,

You can get a good paying job right after B.Tech. Studying abroad will require you to have atleast GATE or GRE to support your application. Chances of getting admission are good if you are self-sponsored (i.e you don't need any scholarship). If you manage a good PhD/Masters position in UK/US/Germany/Singapore, you can safely assume a bright career. But, having said that, it doesn't mean that India lacks on opportunities. Crack GATE for Masters from an IIT and you may expect a good career ahead.

An important point about a successful career is" "Don't cease at any step. A single gap in education/profession can impact your career negatively." Right after B.Tech, if you get a job related to your field of interest, grab it with both hands! It will kickstart your professional career. Meanwhile you can always vouch for other opportunities (higher studies/ beteer job). Experience in your kit matters a lot in the long run.

In India: IITs and IIITs are best to go for.
Abroad: There is a huge list. Some of the most renowned ones (and not the toughest to grab) being: UCL, UMASS, Max Planc, DAAD universities, NUS, HKTU, DELFT, Purdue.

Hope it helps
