PCR is a biochemical reaction that mimics the in vivo cell reaction of DNA replication out side the cell (that is in vitro). This reaction involves producing many more copies of the given DNA ( called as template) in the presence of an enzyme similar to the one present inside the cells. The major raw materials required for this reaction are:
-DNA template
-DNA primer
-DNTPs(deoxy ribose nucleotides)
-DNA polymerase enzyme
-a buffer to stabilize the enzyme called as assay buffer..
PCR has various applications , while the main use of it is to increase the amount of sample as it duplicates the given sample, thus increasing the sample.
Hope you hav got your answer:-)
