Depression - Genetic predisposition and Stress hormones
#4
Any new drug is called totally successful only when it has no or negligible side effects. Otherwise many drugs have been discovered which has good efficiency but failed at the stage of proving “no side effects”. Depression is one of the psychological disorders more related to mind and feelings than actual diseases or disorders. Depression can be cured without drugs only when the person under depression gets positive affirmations and regains his confidence. Many a time’s drugs are required in these cases.
Thanks to one of such new research which is developing new drug for depression which are without side effects. An experimental drug AZD6765 had proved itself in treating hard case depressions within few hours only that too without side effects. These drugs are presently under clinical trials and its further decision to use will be totally dependent on its trial results. Many anti-depressants work but takes weeks to cure the depressions and thus are not so effective when it comes to critical cases of depressions. Such new drug development seems to be promising in treating such critical cases.
The said new drugs tap into a critical and important component of glutamate pathway, which is safe, rapid acting for serious cases of depressions. For every great thing, has to pass through hard phenomenon or hard time before they are recognized, same is the case with such drugs which has to pass through clinical trials which includes experiments in three phases. These tests are done on animals and then on humans. Once all test passes, these test drugs come in markets. These clinical trials are very important and help in protecting humans. These clinical tests are for safety purpose only. Hope such drugs AZD6765 will come into market soon and will save thousands of life and patients in a better way suffering from depressions!
