Hey there,

I'm just a dork/nerd/geek of various stripes, with a couple unrelated degrees behind me as well as a lifetime of informal chemistry and now, an avid interest in peptide chemistry, gene synthesis & transgenic engineering.

I like to play with my aquariums quite a bit. I've got a 120G, 55G, 35G & a 10G, with 4 kinds of shrimp, half dozen snail species, 15 - 20 different plants and god-only-knows how many kinds of fish.

I, like most, love listening to music and am presently grooving on St. Lucia, Poolside, Pacific Air, Cut/Copy, Alt-J, The Foals, A Place To Bury Strangers & Trouble Andrew.

I'm fascinated by all kinds of things. Life's tendency towards complexity is beautiful, and If it inspires awe & wonder, I'm probably a fan.
