Guys I am in a Conference, will be able to pitch in once it finishes off...overall, cut offs greatly depend upon the total candidates and the range of marks. More than the highest marks scored (which can be an outlier), it's the lowest 25% marks range (or the first quartile) which has highest impact on cut off. If you guys really want to have an idea of cut off, then try to collect the information on the lowest marks. It actually requires a survey type thing with the need to seek response of most of the candidates who appeared for the exam. Since it is difficult to achieve as of now, I would suggest everyone to hope for the best and those who are having marks below 40 they should start focussing on all options they have (like IIT Hyderabad, Guwahati, or non Biotech branches of IITs and NUS). Read the thread titled, Gate advice to low scorers for an idea.
Minimum cut off would be 25 and maximum won't be higher than 40 (given the trend of marks obtained on an average over the years).
Best wishes
