Masters degree courses in Biotechnology in the UK
#2
Entrance requirements for the courses featured above:

University of Leeds Masters programme entrance requirements: Normally a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, but relevant experience may be taken into account. English language requirements: IELTS band 6.

University of Essex Masters programme entrance requirements: A good first honours degree, minimum of lower second class, or equivalent three-year higher education qualification, from a recognised institution. English language requirements: IELTS band 5.5.

University of East London Masters programme entrance requirements: Students are required to have qualifications equivalent to an honours degree from a UK university in a relevant subject or experience. For overseas students there is a requirement for an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (or equivalent), TOEFL score of 650 or an equivalent. Applicants whose qualifications do not conform to these criteria may be admitted to the programme at the admission tutors discretion which will normally involve an interview.

University of Westminster Masters programme entrance requirements: You should have an Honours degree in biological sciences, biotechnology or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification. If your first language is not English you should have an IELTS score of at least 6.5, with the written component at a minimum of 6.5 (or equivalent). During the induction stage of the course, if you do not have English as your first language, you will need to complete Academic English screening and any resulting recommended Academic English support activity.

University of Edinburgh Masters programme entrance requirements Students should possess a UK University undergraduate degree or its equivalent outside the UK (usually at least a 2:1 honours degree or its equivalent). Candidates are expected to possess a strong background in one or more of the following areas: biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, medicine, molecular biology, pharmacology and the related sciences. Physics, mathematics, or other backgrounds will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. English language requirements: IELTS band 6.5; CAE score 75; TOEFL iBT test 92.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. While the university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. The IELTS test is most widely accepted by universities and is also accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK.
