Disulfide needs a pair of residues, so it should be 2 bonds..
Hi Sunil sir.... I can't memorize the question clearly...May be it was how many different types....That's why I answered 6..... What do you think if it is how many "different" types?

If it is about number of different ways those 2 bonds can form between the 4 residues, then it should be 3 ways (i think so...not sure though...) 6 is number of combinations of residue pairs possible, while there is one way of bonding per 2 pairs of residues....so it should be 3 ways of bonding...

a-------a---------a---------a

way1: a1-a2 a3-a4

way2: a1-a3 a2-a4

way 3: a2-a3 a1-a4

This exhausts all possible combinations...

3 ways it should be...

And in q,s of cell cycle .... Main theme is ... The completion of genome duplication and before mitosis begin....it must be duplicated in end of G2 phase . so ans. Is s and G2.

Hello sangam,
Thanks for the input but I couldn't understand the theme suggested by you...could you please elaborate? And was the question about DNA content or about the ploidy?

Nither dna content nor ploidy . only .. End of which phases of cell cycle ( mitosis ) the completion of genome duplication takes place..

In that case S and G2 are indeed the two phases..

I guess question was: At the end of which phase of cell cycle there is "2n" number of chromosomes.
